Granola Bars
Einige Leute haben mich nach einem konkreten Rezept für Müsliriegel gefragt, daher kommt hier eine detaillierte Version.Some people asked me for a recipe for the granola bars, so here it is. A basic recipe that can be modified based on your personal needs.
Ingredients
- 50 grams vegan Butter
- 1 x egg replacement
- 100 grams protein powder (there are many non milk based powders)
- 200 grams agave syrup
- 250 grams Oats
- 200 grams Raisins, seedless
- 50 grams Seeds, chia seeds, dried
- 90 grams Seeds, pumpkin and squash seed kernels, roasted, without salt
- 150 grams Seeds, sunflower seed kernels, dried
- 100 grams Sugars, brown
- 200 ml Water, tap, drinking
- 45 grams Wheat germ, crude
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees (400 Fahrenheit), don’t use circulating air
- Roast dry ingredients (oats, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds) in a pan without (!) oil for some minutes until golden brown
- In a small bowl, mix the liquid ingredients (vegan butter, syrup, sugar) and boil until caramelized
- Put fruit (raisins) and chia seeds in a large bowl including wheat germ
- Put the dry ingredients in the large bowl, and pour the liquid ingredients into the large bowl, mix with a large wooden spoon
- Pour tap water in the bowl and egg replacer into the bowl, mix everything thoroughly
- On a tray, place aluminium foil, and spread the dough on the foil evenly (make sure that it is really even)
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown
- Remove tray after baking and let it cool down a little bit for some minutes; then cut stripes of bars (about 2cm x 8cm)
- Package every two bars into one handy package — and you’re done
